Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer before following any guide on UnstuckGuide. It explains what our guides are, what they are not, and what to check before you act on them.

General information only

Everything on UnstuckGuide is general information. Our guides explain how to carry out common technology tasks and how to understand common problems. They are written for a general audience and cannot take account of your particular device, software version, or situation.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind. We do not give technical support for a specific business system, and we give no legal, financial or medical advice at all. If a problem involves legal rights, money you cannot afford to lose, health or safety, or a device covered by a warranty or support contract, get advice from a qualified professional or from the device maker's official support before acting.

Follow steps at your own risk

You follow any guide's steps at your own risk. Technology changes quickly, and a menu, setting or result may differ on your device from the one described. If a step does not match what you see on screen, stop and re-read it rather than guessing, and do not force a change you do not understand.

Back up before you change anything

Back up important data before making changes to a device, deleting files, resetting settings, or moving libraries and backups. A backup made before you start is what turns a mistake into an inconvenience instead of a loss. Our guides that involve deletion or migration say this themselves, and it applies to every guide on the site.

Download safety

Download software only from the official links on our Downloads page, and check the domain in your browser before installing anything. We do not host installers, and we do not recommend mirrors, repackaged downloads, cracks or activators. If a download page looks different from what you expected, close it and come back to the link here.

External links are not endorsements

Links to other websites, including official download sites and the services mentioned in comparisons, are provided for your convenience. They are not endorsements, and we do not control those sites or guarantee their content, safety or availability.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee that following a guide will fix your problem, improve performance by any particular amount, or produce any particular result. If a guide does not solve your problem, its closing section suggests what to try next, and you can contact the device maker's official support.
